I overdid it. This comes as no surprise, I realize, but, still: last weekend was too much.
Remember the pesky ear issues from the end of last summer, the ringing, buzzing, upset balance? At the time, I blamed it at all the elevation gain and loss, from a long summer's worth of mountain passes, but as they've returned, appearing intermittently throughout the week, perhaps over-fatigue may have equally contributed. Another body complaint to ignore, I suppose. Wednesday and again today I filled hours I'd set aside for a moderate run - something in the three-hour range? - with accidental naps. I'm tired, it seems - and with the exception of last night's ride to camp, I've not ridden since Sunday's play day, and those last thirty miles hammered.
It appears the down week I'd planned for next week came a week early.
I finally talked to BK - you still owe him a run. I think we're on for this fall, but I suppose you'll try and talk him out of it? He hasn't run since TrailMix, so if that's your reason for putting it off, don't. Besides, I need something definite from each of you soon.
You still haven't told me how the move went, either, you realize. Are you settled in enough to be running again yet?
Also: you owe me a phone call. This weekend, maybe?
